Spelling/Vocabulary Words

This week is a review week for ELA. We will not have new spelling or vocabulary words, but will be reviewing the skills we have learned so far this year.

THIS WEEK IN….

ELA: In Spelling, Vocabulary, and Grammar we will be reviewing the skills we have learned so far this year. In Reading we will be focusing on comprehension, fluence, and reviewing poetry skills. We will not have a Spelling or Unit test this week. We will be completing assignments daily for the skill we are working on.

MATH: We will are using the addition and subtraction skills we have learned to solve one and two step word problems. We will have our unit test on Thursday with a review on Wednesday.

SCIENCE: We will be completing our unit on matter. We will have our assessments Monday and Tuesday with some fun hands on activities on Thursday and Friday.

SOCIAL STUDIES: We will continue learning about being American citizens, focusing on government and government leaders. We will have a test on Tuesday.

ELA: In spelling we are learning to spell words with r-controlled vowels. In Reading we will be comparing and contrasting two similar Cinderella stories. In grammar we are learning irregular verbs. We will have our weekly unit and spelling test on Friday.

MATH: We will are using the addition and subtraction skills we have learned to solve one and two step word problems.

SCIENCE: We will continue our unit on matter. We will be reviewing solids, liquids, and gasses and will begin discussing changes in matter.

SOCIAL STUDIES: We will continue learning about being American citizens, focusing on government and government leaders. We will have a test on Thursday.

MATH: We will continue working on 2-digit subtraction. We will review Wednesday and Thursday. Our test will be on Friday.

SCIENCE: We will continue our unit on matter. We will be reviewing properties of matter and will have a quiz on Thursday.

SOCIAL STUDIES: We will continue learning about being American citizens, focusing on rules and laws.
